







This crispy flatbread is one of the Dominican Republic’s most famous “munchies” but most importantly, was a critical component of the Taíno diet. The cassava (also known as yuca) flour turned to rounded bread is traditionally composed of that single ingredient, but today is commonly cultured with other flavors such as peanut, garlic, guava and more. It takes a long time to expire, making it both a healthy snack and reliable ration!
